7:00 pm, Wed. Aug 18, Druker Auditorium

Club members and the public are welcome to the regular meetings held on the 3rd Wednesday of every month starting at 7 pm in the Drucker Auditorium of the Newton Library on 330 Homer Street, Newton, MA 02459.

Topic: Paying for College: Options and Strategies

Abstract: On average, college graduates with a bachelor’s degree earn 62% more per year than high school graduates. Clearly, one of the best investments you can make for your children is an investment in their educational future.  College costs continue to rise, but through regular saving and proper investing, you can help a child realize his or her goals.  We will discuss 529 plans, UTMA/UGMA, Coverdell ESA, Municipal Zero-coupon bonds, Series E and EE US saving bonds, Financial Aid, and etc.
